Simple Server: HTTP Server 1.9

Simple Server is a compact web server that you can have at your fingertips.

• Share your folders/files from your iPhone/iPad with other devices within the same local network.
• Easily explore your shared folders and files using web browsers.
• Manage your folders/files on your iPhone/iPad through web browsers.
• Establish a username/password for file sharing and management.
• Access Logs support, showing HTTP method, URL, remote IP address, and access time for requests and responses.
• On iPad, preview your static HTML files in Safari using Split View while the web server operates on the same iPad.

Two easy steps to share your folder:

1. In the app, select a folder to share by tapping "Select folder." Choose a folder on your device or iCloud.
2. Click the "Start Server" button. You're all set!

Afterward, access the provided address from any browser on a device within the same network (e.g., a device connected to the same WiFi router).

You also have the option to allow remote users to manage folders and files if needed.

Points to note:

• The Simple HTTP Server must run in the foreground; it cannot operate in the background. When you switch to another app or lock the screen, the web server will halt.
• On iPad, you can browse files/folders via Safari while running the web server on the same device thanks to multitasking.
• However, switching to another app on iPhone will stop the web server. The server status will automatically resume when you return to the app. Browsing files from other devices is only viable on an iPhone within a local WiFi network or local wired network. It doesn't support connections via a cellular network.
